Dr. Ydalith Rivera - Perez

Dr. Ydalith G. Rivera-Pérez is a bilingual therapist who earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University with an internship at Alexandria VA Healthcare System in Central Louisiana. She is completing her post-doctoral fellowship under the supervision of Dr. Holly Carlson Zhao.

Dr. Pérez brings to her practice a wealth of experience from her almost two decades of service to teenagers, adults, and geriatric populations. While working as a Physician Assistant in Psychiatry or as a Licensed Professional Counselor she provided care to underserved and culturally diverse populations, individuals diagnosed with cancer or chronic pain, and individuals diagnosed with dementia, substance use disorders, or severe mental illness. As a Clinical Psychologist trainee, she provided assessment and therapy services to individuals struggling with mental health needs, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Dr. Pérez is passionate about providing patient-centered care and takes a holistic view of health. Because her practice is informed by her knowledge of medicine and psychiatry, she believes that mental health and physical health are intimately related. True to her love of science, she believes that evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, are the best practice standards. She strives to provide efficacious treatments that are tailored to the individual’s needs and take into account the individual’s goals and values.
